More Trim Work and Gutters

The trim carpenters continue working on all the interior trim.

We also had the rain gutters installed today.

they did a good job matching the gutters to our paint

I'm not a big fan of the look but realize they are a necessary evil

Using the excuse of my birthday, I was able to drag Kim away from here for a couple of days. He took me down to Round Top, Texas to the Annual Fall Antique Week. There are miles and miles of vendors wanting lots and lots of money for their wares. We didn't buy much but walked about 9 miles yesterday searching for just the right thing. Today, he's back to working on the house, so no rest for the weary.

Trim Carpenters Begin

No news is NOT always good news! It's been over a month since the last post and we have been waiting (not so patiently) on the trim carpenters.

However, Kim has not been idle.

doesn't it look great?

he's also been busy with dirt work and road repair

We also picked up the exterior doors in Wichita Falls and he got those hung. This is the side door.

Finally, the trim work has begun and it's really making a difference inside!

I've been trying my hand at improving the looks of a very plain and very white light fixture that goes over the tub in the master bath.

it's still oxidizing - I'll post the final picture after it's hung and all the little crystals are attached

Hopefully, I'll be able to post more often and we won't have another extended delay.
