The plan for today was to get the backsplashes and upstairs countertop tile done. Before Kim even finished his coffee, the plumbers (who were scheduled for tomorrow) showed up. They had a job cancellation so decided to start on ours a day early. Only problem is, we weren't ready for them so it was crazy wild trying to stay ahead of them all day. Then, surprise, surprise, the countertop guys showed up with the laundry room countertops. They had installed the bathroom tops yesterday but didn't have the laundry room formica ready. Then the tile guy got here followed by a contractor to give us a bid on installing shower doors. All of this before noon.

and we didn't have quite enough wood to finish - you can see we need about two more pieces

This picture is of the mess the painters left behind. Along the top is duck tape residue that took goo gone and acetone and a LOT of elbow grease to remove. There's also a long drip of paint in the corner.

With the exception of a hand full of full sheets, he had to place each stone individually

We have one toilet installed and had to make a mad dash to town for the other two after everyone left tonight
is it going to work???
and we ended the day with running water - yea!!!
Tomorrow the flooring/tile guy finishes up and the plumber should too.
WOW!!! Everything looks so good! Love the backsplash/wall, washroom counter tops, and the floor looks so good. Sure a good thing you two are flexible. I can't wait to see it in person again. Cathie
